Escape from a Video Game: The Secret of Phantom Island (Volume 1)

It is an interactive book in which kids can choose their own story version. That part is nice. What’s not nice is all the violence. Using knives to a throat and grabbing by the neck. I already had my child stop reading it. The other books, Trapped in a Video Game were great! I am so disappointed in this new series.

My almost 8-year-old loves the Trapped in a Video Game series and was literally counting down the days until this new book came out. I have a lot of nostalgia for the original Choose Your Own Adventure books from the 80s, so I was looking forward to reading this with him.I’m happy to say that this story blew away our already high expectations! This is absolutely the most fun and inventive choose your own adventure I’ve ever seen. It’s just full of twists and surprises. When you enter the game, for example, there’s an optical illusion that looks like the page is vibrating to let you know the “technology is working.” There’s a section where the villain asks you as the reader a series of question and does a mind reading magic trick right there on the page. It’s even got secret message that unlocks a 20-page online story.Just like the Trapped series, there were several parts that had us both laughing out loud. There’s also lots of action and suspense that’s all age-appropriate. Something new that this book adds is logic puzzles, which was interesting. I loved watching my son get excited about the puzzles because he felt like he was playing a video game.If your kids loved the Trapped in a Video Game series, they will adore this one. Even if they haven’t read that one, this is a good place to start since it’s really a spin-off rather than a sequel. Can’t wait for book 2!

My 9 year old loved the trapped in a video game series. And this series… even better and more clever. We have such fun reading this at night. It is engaging, interactive, and the fun even extends with special codes on a website unlocking extra content. Just all so well done. My son and I both have such fun with it. So much better then regular choose your own adventure books! Hope they write many more b

Reading is not my grandson’s favorite thing to do. He enjoys video games, so I ordered the Lost In A Video Game Series. He ENJOYED all 5 of those books! We were excited to see the new book ESCAPE From A Video Game come out. He was excited to start reading as soon as he received it. I hope this is the beginning of a new series.

Update.... My grandson brought me the boo and said it wasn't making any sense. I looked at what he was showing me and no e of the options took him to a new spot, all 3 or 4 options took him back to the same page. There is no way to finish the story. I he even started at the beginning and read through the whole thing to where it stopped him. And again he can't finish the story.I'm really glad I didn't get him the whole series!I asked my grandson how to rate it 1 to 5 stars. He said def 5 stars, I Love It!!Enough said.

I got this for our autistic 11 year old who is obsessed with video games! It's so cool and interactive, while promoting reading! Can't wait to buy more like this!

This is a little old for my 3-5 year old class; but they still loved it! There are split second decisions, and you die from the wrong ones! You have to solve puzzles to get through dungeons, and it’s basically a written word thrill ride, I would suggest this to any elementary student, and probably middle school too. Well written

My 10 year old use to ask to go online and listen to these books being read, I thought why not buy them since he has reading for homework everyday...best choice I made. He LOVES these books, homework and reading have never been easier. These books and "The Last Kids On Earth" are great!

Bought these for my 6 year old. I'm 40 and may like the books more than him!

This book was a lot of fun for my 8 yr old. It kept him busy for a while as he read through it a few times then worked on the puzzles. We can’t wait for the next installment!

My son (11) LOVED THIS. The additional content on the website that you unlock with the passcode was really cool and the story kept him engaged. As with Brady’s other books (Trapped), this was a huge hit.

This is my review of the 512GB iPhone 11 Pro Max from Buyspry. I got this phone exactly 3 days ago.Your mileage may vary since these are refurbished phones however I did do some digging on this company and the seller had a great eBay reputation and no dings on BBB so I decided for this price and the Amazon backed 90 day money back, I had nothing to lose. I personally didn’t care if this phone came with a few scratches and nicks to the body, it would be going in a case anyway. The phone however arrived in a nice little box and procreated very well. The presentation was very decent. The phone was in immaculate condition and I couldn’t really find anything wrong aesthetically. The shipping did take a week but I’ll chalk that up to amazons storehouse and the recent icy weather. During my 3 days of use I have noticed no abnormalities and everything functions great. If there is a downside it’s the battery life. It’s at 90%. Obviously I would want it to be at 100% but at this price I’ll gladly take it. If you look at amazons refurbishing details it also lets you know that the battery’s are only guranteed to be over 80% life, so that is something to note, however battery’s aren’t too expensive and since this is an upgrade over my iPhone X even at 10% less battery life it still lasts several hours more easily. Overall I’m extremely pleased with my purchase and am so glad I got this for this price. Hope someone finds this info useful

There is an outstanding balance due on this phone purchased and my provider is advising me to pay the balance or obtain another phone. This phone obviously is LOCKED and seller refuses to pay for return shipping. This is absolutely not my fault that I have to return this iphone. Seller needs to take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for his poor process in vetting or reselling iphones.

Usually people buying these products are kind of skeptical about them and they don’t know if they will receive the full product, let alone the product being in great shape. I recently ordered this product but at first I thought it was a scam seeing the reviews so I tried to cancel my order but it was already shipped so I went with it. It arrived a few days early and it was more than I expected! Phone is in perfect condition and it came with a charger and a cable though not the original products but it still came with the phone and the phone had a screen protector added which is nice on top of 90day warranty only case anything goes wrong. Great service! (Fully unlocked, tried my current SIM card and it works!)

The media could not be loaded.  I understand theres bad reviews but the phone I received came in solid fresh like brand new. im definitely loving it and 512gb for 1,000$ (plus taxes), thats a good deal, they go for 1,600 after taxes in the apple website. Im really satisfied and i would strongly recommend it💯

Downloaded information from my other phone perfectly.UPDATE: had to update. I still LOVE this phone. It’s beautiful and sleek and works perfect. The battery is strong. It never overheats. It never glitches. There was not one single scratch on it when I received it. It feels so beautiful in the hands. The thickness is beautiful and solid. It’s so much larger than the iPhone 11.
